Previously, he was first concertmaster at the Cologne Radio Symphony Orchestra.

With 12 he made his debut at the Salzburg Festival, winning numerous prizes at international competitions such as the Postacchini Competition, Michael Hill Violin Competition, Concours International de Violon Tibor Varga and at the Montreal International Music Competition.

Korbinian received special musical impulses through his chamber music collaborations with artists like Shmuel Ashkenasi and Gerhard Schulz, Leon Fleisher, Mitsuko Uchida and members of the Guameri, Juilliard and Cleveland Quartets.

His enthusiasm for chamber music was strongly influenced by repeated invitations to various festivals in the USA (Ravinia, Caramoor and Marlboro) as well as in Europe, for example Prussia Cove in the UK, Verbier in Switzerland, the Moritzburg Festival and the Israeli Chamber Project.
